MERLOT DOC "Vigneti dell'Angelo"
Cru Line - Friuli Grave

This wine is obtained from the fermentation of the grape with the same name, produced in the vineyard called "of Angelo". It is characterized by an intense ruby red colour, with violet glints. On the nose it is intense, agreeable. After a short oxygenation, it gradually opens to floral and spicy notes, and then the perfumes of blackberry and black cherry emerge. In the mouth the good balance between acidity and tannins support a considerable, persistent body. A good cherry flavour emerges, you can perceive the spices again, and a touch of violet. The finish has a long, persistent flavour.
This wine is made with handpicked and selected grapes, harvested in perfect health conditions and well ripened. The grapes are processed cold for 5 days. During the first 8 days of fermentation the grapes undergo several "delestage". Fermentation takes place with the skins for 14 days at a controlled maximal temperature of 25-28° C. After this, a further period of maceration takes place for 15 days. Refinement takes place for a year, mostly in wooden tanks and partly in barriques. Another period of refinement is carried out in steel tanks until bottling. The bottles are then stored in horizontal position, until being sold.
