Finis Terrae - DOC Friuli Grave

I hate it! No, I love this wine!... When I think of how much effort it costs to make this wine, it makes me shiver. As a young wine, it is testy and difficult to control. It is almost untameable. If you succeed in taming this wine, it will give you incomparable surprises.
My "Nero" has an intense ruby red colour which underlines its elegant character. Like the other Finis Terrea wines also Nero is processed with natural methods. The wine is obtained without adding any kind of clarification nor filtration. Refinement takes place in barriques and lasts 18 months. This wine-making process structures it more, confers richer tannins and a diversified bouquet. On the nose it is intense and complex: first one perceive fruit notes and herb aromas, such as cherry and juniper. On a second moment the wine shows intense notes of red fruit and leather. On the palate it is velvety, fine, fresh and balanced.
This wine is really something special, every year different... that’s NERO! We winemakers compare this particular Pinot Nero vine variety to women: uncompromising and exigent, they ask for great attention. Our efforts are then richly rewarded.
This wine is excellent with ham, mature cheese and very fine with delicate fish courses. We recommend a serving temperature of 14° C and a great opened glass.
